Database and IT managers can use the newest version of the Tesora database as a service (DBaaS) platform to manage 12 different database technologies throughout their lifecycle.
The new Tesora DBaaS Platform Enterprise Edition 1.6 builds on the extensive list of databases currently supported, adding MySQL Enterprise Edition 5.6. Additional capabilities brought to Tesora’s enterprise-hardened implementation of OpenStack Trove include the following:
- Oracle 12c now implemented as a standard database guest with backup and restore capabilities;
- PostgreSQL backup and restore, configuration group definitions and clustering, as well as new replication functionality;
- Full integration with OpenStack Ceilometer for monitoring and billing, including some 100 notifications to track database backups, replication, resizing, authorized users and more;
- MySQL and PostgreSQL now have the ability to retrieve log files for help with troubleshooting;
- Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 7 added to existing distributions;
- Certified by Mirantis for Mirantis OpenStack 6.1 distribution.
