NEW YORK, Nov. 12, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On November 19, the Museum of American Finance will open “Worth Its Weight: Gold from the Ground Up,” an exhibit that will captivate visitors with the many spectacular and unexpected ways gold has influenced our lives – from science and technology to entertainment and pop culture to finance and economics. The exhibit will be featured in three galleries and will be on view through December 2016.
WHAT: “Worth Its Weight: Gold from the Ground Up” exhibit opening. The exhibit will feature hundreds of gold objects from dozens of collections around the world including the Smithsonian Institution, the Tiffany & Co. Archives, the Rothschild Collection and Tellus Science Museum.
WHO: The exhibit will be on view at the Museum of American Finance, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution. Special guests at the opening will include exhibit curators, Smithsonian leaders and featured artists Sidney Mobell and Marla Aaron.
WHEN: The opening reception will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015, 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
