Insight to Present the Insight Teacher of the Year Award Tonight at the Governor’s Celebration of Innovation Awards


TEMPE, Ariz., Nov. 12, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Insight (NASDAQ:NSIT) is honored to present Dr. Paul McElligott the Insight Teacher of the Year award tonight at the Governor’s Celebration of Innovation (GCOI) gala. The event put on by the Arizona Technology Council, in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority, takes place at the Phoenix Convention Center’s West Building from 4:00 – 8:00 PM tonight.

Insight’s CIO Mike Guggemos will be on hand to present the award to Dr. McElligott from Fountain Hills High School (Fountain Hills, Ariz.) and also to recognize Christine Sapio, Coconino High School (Flagstaff, Ariz.) and Pradip C. Misra from Bagdad High School (Bagdad, Ariz.) who received the honorable mention.

The award is presented to the teacher who has demonstrated innovation in their teaching style and mentoring of students to think creatively.

The GCOI attracts more than 1,000 attendees each year for a night of networking, food and entertainment. 2015 marks the 12th year of this prestigious event.  For 2015, the event will consist of a theatre style awards program followed by specialty desserts and live music. The event will also feature a technology showcase of over 50 Arizona companies. These companies consist of award finalists, sponsors and AZTC partners.
