Doug Sherman Named SVP & Regional Manager of Pacific Mercantile Bank's Ontario Office


COSTA MESA, Calif., Nov. 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pacific Mercantile Bank ("the Bank"), the wholly owned subsidiary of Pacific Mercantile Bancorp (NASDAQ:PMBC), today announced that Doug Sherman has been named Senior Vice President & Regional Manager of the Bank's Ontario office. Mr. Sherman will lead the Bank's efforts to expand its commercial banking presence in the Inland Empire.

Mr. Sherman has more than 30 years of commercial banking experience, having served with a variety of regional and national banking franchises. In addition to his prior role with Pacific Mercantile Bank, Mr. Sherman has held senior banking positions with Bank of America, Tokai Bank of California, Pacific Century Bank, and U.S. Bank. Mr. Sherman is a native of Riverside and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Redlands.
