Premier Diagnostic Imaging Selects eRAD’s RIS and Integrated Speech Platform

Gains Clean Workflow Across Multiple Sites

GREENVILLE, S.C., Nov. 19, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- eRAD announced today that Premier Diagnostic Imaging will leverage eRAD’s Radiology Information System and Integrated Speech Recognition platform to manage the clinical and business workflow of its multi-modality imaging center in Cookeville, Tenn.

eRAD is a subsidiary of RadNet, Inc. and a leading provider of standards-based, web-centric radiology image and data management solutions.

Premier is a well-established imaging center that has provided a very high level of service to the quarter million residents in the Upper Cumberland region for over two decades.

“We’re not new to this business,” remarked Premier CEO Bob Gunter. “Given our experience, we knew what we were looking for in a system and a partner. eRAD’s RIS platform, in combination with the professionalism and expertise of its staff, gave us the solution we wanted.”

The project involves a data migration from a legacy RIS product, and eRAD will be integrating to Premier’s current PACS system to offer a streamlined RIS-driven workflow that will allow one-click synchronization of the RIS/PACS/Speech. In addition, eRAD will be installing its web-based portals for online patient and referring physician access to reports, images, and online scheduling features.

“We did our homework when looking for a team to work with,” said Gunter. “The eRAD / RadNet story is very compelling, because of their leadership in the industry. We confirmed that their approach would work for us. We conducted reference checks, and several members of our operations, clinical, and management teams did an extensive onsite evaluation of the RIS in use at a group of very busy, multi-modality imaging centers.”

Seth Koeppel, SVP of Sales at eRAD, said: “From the moment I fielded their first inquiry, Premier was a real pleasure to work with. Besides being one of the nicest and most well-run imaging centers I've encountered in my 25 years in the industry, Premier was an extremely well-organized buyer. They ran a formal and disciplined process, which makes our job much easier.”

The project is expected to go-live at the beginning of the second quarter of 2016.
