Atlas Chiropractic Now Accepting Medicare

DORAL, Fla., Nov. 22, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Doral chiropractor Dr. Oscar Molina announced that his practice, Atlas Chiropractic, is now accepting Medicare. Medicare Part B covers manipulation of the spine if this treatment is determined to be medically necessary, according to Medicare.gov. All Medicare recipients with Part B are covered; patients may still be responsible for the cost of secondary testing or services ordered by the chiropractor, including X-rays. Dr. Molina says he works closely with each patient to ensure they receive appropriate, medically-necessary care and are fully reimbursed to the extent allotted by their insurance provider or Medicare.

“I am excited to announce we are now accepting Medicare patients for chiropractic care, including back pain and neck pain treatment,” said Dr. Oscar Molina, chiropractor and founder of Atlas Chiropractic. “Chiropractic care is an effective, drug-free treatment option for naturally managing back pain and neck pain, two of the most common ailments affecting older Americans. Most importantly, our Atlas chiropractic adjustments are gentle and safe for individuals of all ages, including seniors.”

Dr. Molina says that his focus on Atlas adjustments is especially effective for older adults with back and neck pain. Unlike some chiropractic adjustment techniques, Dr. Molina stressed that with Atlas adjustments, there is no popping, cracking or twisting of the spine.

“Atlas Chiropractic is one of the only Miami chiropractic clinics to focus on upper cervical specific chiropractic,” said Dr. Molina. “While there are over 500 chiropractors in South Florida, the majority of these chiropractors only provide general chiropractic care, such as decreasing muscle spasms or improving range of motion. Atlas adjustments are different.”

Dr. Molina says that Atlas adjustments are designed to specifically address upper cervical misalignments associated with chronic neck and back pain, shoulder pain, headaches and migraines, high blood pressure and chronic stress and tension.

“Think of the upper neck as the top link in a chain; when there is a problem with the top link, the entire chain may fall out of alignment,” said Dr. Molina. “General chiropractors focus their attention on correcting lower links in the chain. Atlas chiropractors like myself address the top link problem; once this link is correct, the entire chain will fall back into place.”

The Doral Florida chiropractor recommends Atlas adjustments for patients with chronic, recurring pain that does not respond to other treatment options. Dr. Molina says Atlas adjustments are effective for individuals of all ages.

“Patients love our unique, low-force techniques,” said Dr. Molina. “Atlas chiropractic adjustments are extremely gentle, safe and effective – even for infants and older adults who are not good candidates for traditional chiropractic adjustments.”

Atlas Chiropractic offers a full array of chiropractic services for managing conditions such as neck and back pain; headaches and migraines; hypertension/high blood pressure; leg and arm numbness; sciatica; arthritis; ear infections; fibromyalgia; sinus and allergy problems; and herniated discs.
