BBCN Bancorp Acknowledges Receipt of Unsolicited Proposal


LOS ANGELES, Nov. 24, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BBCN Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company") (NASDAQ:BBCN), the holding company of BBCN Bank (the "Bank"), today acknowledged that it received an unsolicited proposal on November 20, 2015 from Hanmi Financial Corporation ("Hanmi") to enter into discussions for a business combination with BBCN. That proposal was the subject of a news release issued by Hanmi after the market close on November 23, 2015. BBCN has a process in place to evaluate proposals regarding strategic transactions, and that process will be used to evaluate this proposal. There can be no assurance that any proposal will result in a transaction.
