Uponor acquires competence in drinking water delivery

Uponor Holding GmbH, a German subsidiary company, has today signed a contract to acquire all of the shares in two German companies, Delta Systemtechnik GmbH and the KaMo Group. The acquisition is aimed at broadening the portfolio and competence of Uponor’s Building Solutions – Europe segment in the increasingly significant hygienic drinking water delivery sector. The fresh water technology of the companies acquired complements Uponor’s current product portfolio, especially with regard to the residential construction market, which is a key focus area for Uponor.

The sellers are members of the management in both companies as well as external shareholders. The acquisition price is not disclosed by mutual agreement. The deal is subject to approval by the German Federal Cartel Office.

Delta and KaMo have each achieved double digit growth rates in recent years. In 2014, the 119 employees of both companies combined generated a total turnover of €32.8 million.

Delta Systemtechnik GmbH, whose main manufacturing site and offices are located in Celle, northern Germany, was founded in 2004. The company produces fresh water units for central domestic hot water systems as well as heating transfer stations and components for hot water and heating systems.
