Ria Money Transfer Helps to Raise $164,000 for TeletonUSA in Support of Children With Disabilities


Ria Opens Up Its National Network of More Than 10,000 Locations for Donation Collection

Company Pledges $35,000 Corporate Donation to TeletonUSA

BUENA PARK, Calif., Dec. 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ria Money Transfer (“Ria”), the world’s third largest money transfer company and subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide Inc., (NASDAQ:EEFT) has partnered with nonprofit organization TeletonUSA to help raise funds for children with disabilities for the fourth consecutive year.

The company once again made its U.S. network of over 10,000 Agents and company-owned stores available for donation collection. Through the generosity of their customers, Ria was able to raise $129,000 to directly benefit children. Additionally, the company made a corporate donation of $35,000 bringing the total amount raised for TeletonUSA to $164,000.

The month-long donation drive culminated with a 30-hour televised, all-star charity event, which aired on Univision on December 4th and 5th. Ria representatives Rosario Escarpita, Managing Director Americas, with Armando Chavez, VP of Store Operations, presented the $35,000 check to TeletonUSA.
