Code Dx Now Supports Acunetix DAST Tool for Greater Web Application Security

NORTHPORT, NY and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Dec 14, 2015) - Code Dx, Inc., a provider of a robust suite of fast and affordable tools that help software developers, testers and security analysts find, prioritize and manage software vulnerabilities, today announced the integration of Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner to the growing suite of application security testing tools its technology supports.

Through the Code Dx Software Vulnerability Management System, users can access Acunetix scan results in an easy-to-understand visual display. Code Dx combines the results of Acunetix and other dynamic penetration testing tools with the results of static source code analyses and manual code reviews to conduct a hybrid analysis of the combined results. Code Dx consolidates the results into a single set of software vulnerabilities and presents them in a centralized console with an intuitive interface to simplify the prioritization and management of web application vulnerabilities.

"Acunetix offers a leading DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) technology, the results of which can now easily be loaded into Code Dx along with your other SAST or manual testing results," said Ken Prole, CTO for Code Dx. "By integrating Acunetix with Code Dx, users will be able to more easily find, prioritize, and manage vulnerabilities and be more confident that their applications are protected from potential security attacks."

"With the growth in cybercrime in recent years, organizations have focused on increasing their network security; however, a high percentage of cyber attacks are resulting from vulnerabilities in web applications," said Chris Martin, General Manager at Acunetix. "By leveraging our robust web vulnerability scanner with Code Dx's powerful software vulnerability management system, organizations will have the necessary toolset to protect their applications from potentially devastating cyber threats."
