PHA Partners with Pearland Economic Development Corporation in Final Trade Link Educational Workshop of 2015


HOUSTON, Dec. 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Port of Houston Authority hosted the final Trade Link workshop of 2015 at the Pearland Economic Development Corporation today.

Hosted by Trade Development Manager Ricardo Arias, the program provided expert insights in port logistics, export documentation and global marketing strategies. The Port Authority was joined by speakers representing the Pearland Economic Development Corporation, U.S. Small Business Administration, U.S. Commercial Service, the Greater Houston Partnership, ACM Logistics & Consulting Inc. and Adams and Reese LLP.

“We all know how important balanced trade is for the economy of the U.S.,” Arias said. “Through the guidance and assistance of the entities represented by our speakers today, many companies that wouldn’t otherwise export have been granted the opportunity to venture into international commerce.”

The Port of Houston Authority Trade Development Department regularly hosted Trade Link seminars throughout 2015, and plans to continue offering more workshops in 2016.
