TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - December 17, 2015) - Keek Inc. (TSX VENTURE: KEK) (OTCQX: KEEKF), a leading global mobile video social network with over 75 million registered users, today provided details on a number of product advancements including the successful launch of KeekX for iOS and the first phases of a new product focused monetization strategy in partnership with Corporation ("Personas").

KeekX for iOS

"The KeekX release for iOS marks our most significant iOS platform advancement in years. It brings a completely refreshed and modern user interface to our iOS users based on a new 'decks and cards' navigation interface that allows for better categorization and deeper engagement, and also sets the stage for additional innovations in the very near future," said Dimi Paun, CEO at Keek.

The fresh Keek iOS platform is the foundation for a number of upcoming releases, which will include features such as autoplay video, a machine-learning algorithmic content recommendation engine, and a "trending" styled weekly topic vertical. Autoplay video is an important advancement for the Keek platform as a tool to encourage and increase content consumption, and follows Keek's recent integration of Facebook's Audience Network (see press release dated September 1, 2015). Facebook recently announced that Audience Network will be expanding to offer autoplay video ad units, which Keek can now place in-stream alongside autoplay native Keek content.

"Whether you're a creator seeking views or a consumer seeking content, autoplay video is a win," said Paun. "We expect autoplay to have a very positive impact on the engagement levels of our current and future users, driven primarily through our purest metric, video views." KeekX for iOS is now live in the AppStore, and a follow up release featuring autoplay video is expected to be released within days.

Personas and Keek Integration Phase 1

Keek also announced the launch of a new pay-per-use product feature, as part of the first phase of its integration with Personas. This new feature allows members to build their audience by purchasing packages that work to increase their "followers."

"This tool is a creative and innovative monetization strategy and the first of a few promising new revenue streams for Keek," said Alex Macdonald, CFO at Keek. "Content creators on all major social networks spend huge amounts of time and effort to reach those early follower milestones. Whether it's the first fifty, hundred, or thousand followers, each milestone is a celebration. We want to help them get there, so we're providing a tool and we've made it easy to use." The feature leverages in-app purchases and is now available on iOS and Android platforms.

Other Development Initiatives

Current development efforts at Keek are focused on the Personas integration (see press release dated August 14, 2015). The Personas integration is based around technologies that facilitate commercial transactions and communications between members of social network communities. Over the coming months there will be multiple technologies and services integrated into Keek to help facilitate user growth, user retention, and monetization.

Keek development efforts also include the integration of mobile games into the Keek platform. "Mobile games are a proven success on a number of other global platforms and we will be happy to offer them to our user base, complete with monetizable features," said Paun. "The new KeekX interface allows for the simple integration of additional features and content without crowding the user experience. Shortly we will be offering a 'games' card within KeekX, free for users to explore in between watching the latest popular videos or chatting with their friends inside Keek."

Keek also announces that the new Trivia4Good ("T4G") website is now available at In addition, Keek users may now sign up for the T4G contests inside the Android App, and iOS registration will be available shortly.

T4G, like KeekX, brings a completely new mobile user experience and monetization approach to the Keek platforms. T4G is a gamified approach to audience aggregation and activation which combines trivia themed contests with significant prize based financial incentives, branded content, and the involvement of charitable organizations. Keek recently partnered with professional golfer Ernie Els and the Els for Autism Foundation in addition to the previously announced partnership with Right To Play (see press releases dated December 7, 2015, and October 5, 2015).
