On 17 December 2015 Šiaulių Bankas has received a resolution from the Bank of Lithuania indicating that it has been resolved to recognize Šiaulių Bankas AB as a systematically important institution alongside with such other banks as the AB DNB bank, AB SEB bankas and “Swedbank” , AB. An extra other systemically important institution buffer (O-SII) of 0.5 per cent from the total risk weighted exposure amount shall apply to Šiaulių Bankas AB. Such extra buffer must be accumulated before 31 December 2016.
