TOP Ships Inc. Announced Today the Results of Its 2015 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders


ATHENS, Greece, Dec. 24, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TOP Ships Inc. (Nasdaq:TOPS), an international ship-owning company (the “Company”), announced today the results of its 2015 annual general meeting of shareholders. Specifically:

  • Alexandros G. Economou and Paolo Javarone were re-elected as Class II directors of the Company’s Board of Directors.

  • The shareholders approved the appointment of Deloitte, Hadjipavlou, Sofianos & Cambanis S.A. as the Company’s independent auditors for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2015.

  • The shareholders also approved an amendment to the Company’s Third Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation to effect a reverse stock split of the issued and outstanding common stock by a ratio of not less than one-for-two and not more than one-for-twenty with the exact ratio to be set at a whole number within this range to be determined by the Company’s board of directors in its discretion and to authorize the Company’s board of directors to implement the reverse stock split at any time prior to the date of the Company’s 2016 Annual Meeting of Shareholders by filing an amendment to the Company’s Third Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation.
