Chief Executive Magazine ranked companies based on the presence of a formal leadership process. The magazine assessed the commitment level of the CEO and senior management to the leadership development programs as measured by the percent of time spent.  It also considered the number of other companies that report recruiting from the company being evaluated. The percentage of senior and middle management positions filled by internal candidates was also measured.
