Kesko's sales increased in December in all divisions
Kesko Group's sales in December 2015 totalled €781.8 million. In comparable terms excluding Anttila, sales increased by 3.0% in local currencies.
"In December, Kesko's sales increased in all divisions, especially in the car trade and the home improvement and speciality goods trade. Sales grew also in the grocery trade, although prices continued to decline further," says Kesko's President and CEO Mikko Helander.
In Kesko's grocery trade, sales in December were €483.1 million, an increase of 0.6% in local currencies.
In the home improvement and speciality goods trade, sales in December were €235.4 million, and comparable sales excluding Anttila increased by 4.9% in local currencies. In Finland, comparable sales were up by 2.4%. Outside Finland, comparable sales grew by 7.7% in local currencies. In the building and home improvement trade, sales increased by 2.7% in local currencies.
In the car trade, sales in December were €62.5 million, up 18.3% from the previous year.

Change, %, indicates the change compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
In December 2015, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was 21, which was one more than in the previous year. The total number of selling days in January-December was one more than in the previous year. The number of retail selling days in December was 28, which was the same as in the previous year. The total number of retail selling days in January-December was the same as in the previous year.
