Ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark opening of USO center at Joint Base Elmendorf- Richardson

WHAT: USO Alaska will officially open the USO Alaska Center and the first USO Alaska Wellness Center at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER).

WHY: USO Alaska is a local 501(c)3 that supports the mission of the USO to strengthen America's military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.The USO Alaska Center and USO Alaska Wellness Center at JBER will be open 365 days a year and will serve more than 30,000 U.S. active duty service members, members of the National Guard and Reserve and their families. The celebration is one of many events USO Alaska has scheduled throughout 2016 in honor of the USO's 75th anniversary of serving the military and their families worldwide.
