Sales in February

Baltika’s consolidated sales revenue from continued operations for February totalled 3,157 thousand euros, increasing by 1% compared to the same period last year.

Baltika’s retail sales for February decreased by 7% compared to the same period last year, thereof decrease in Estonia 7%, in Lithuania 4% and in Latvia 8%. Baltika’s consolidated retail sales revenue for February was 2,386 thousand euros.

In February two retail stores were opened under new concept: Baltman store in Estonia Tallinn Ülemiste shopping centre and Bastion store in Latvia Riga Origo shopping centre. At the end of February Baltika Group had 130 stores, among which 8 shops in Russia, which belong to discontinued operations (will continue as franchise shops) and franchise stores: 5 in Russia, 6 in Spain, 2 in Belarus and 14 in Ukraine. At the end of month there was 95 shops operated by Baltika, shops average month sales area increased by 2% compared to the same period last year.

Wholesale increased by 41% and e-com decreased by 16% compared to February in previous year.

Sales revenue for two months totalled 7,207 thousand euros, decreasing 4% compared to the same period last year. Retail sales revenue from continued operations was 5,794 thousand euros (-8% yoy). At the same period the Group’s average retail sales area increased by 3%. Wholesale was 1,238 thousand euros (+18% yoy) and
e-com revenues 163 thousand euros (-1% yoy).

In connection with Baltika’s reorganisation of Russian retail business and selling the company there (agreement was signed on 22 February 2016), the sales revenue of the Russian entity is presented as discontinued operation. In 2015 comparative figures sales announcement presents only the results of continuing operations.
