Trez Capital Senior Mortgage Investment Corporation Announces Toronto Stock Exchange Deferral of Consideration of Shareholder Rights Plan

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - March 2, 2016) - Trez Capital Senior Mortgage Investment Corporation (the "Company") (TSX:TZS) announced today that the Toronto Stock Exchange (the "TSX") has deferred its consideration for acceptance of the Company's recently announced Shareholder Rights Plan (the "Rights Plan") until: (i) such time as it determines that the appropriate securities commission will not intervene in the event of any take-over bid for the Company and (ii) the ratification of the Rights Plan by the shareholders of the Company within six months. The Company also understands that, pursuant to TSX policies, acceptance of the Rights Plan by the TSX will also be conditional upon receipt of requisite shareholder approval.
