LM Group Holding A/S announces VP Global Operations & Sourcing, Richard Andrew Bevan, resigns as of March 31 2016. Bjarne Sandager Nielsen will join LM Wind Power as new VP Global Operations & Sourcing.
 
After almost eight years with LM Wind Power, Richard Andrew Bevan has asked to step down from his position as VP Global Operations and Sourcing and will do so with effect from 31 March 2016. 

Richard Andrew Bevan has led the manufacturing business of LM Wind Power first in Northern Europe and China and since globally in his capacity as VP of Global Operations and Sourcing. 
 
"I regret that Richard has taken this decision but also respect that he wants to stop and focus on other opportunities going forward. Richard has achieved remarkable results in his years with the company, constantly refining and expanding manufacturing capabilities and developing a competitive and flexible set up across Global Operations. I wish him great success in his continued career outside LM Wind Power," said CEO, Marc de Jong. 
 
To replace Richard Andrew Bevan, LM Wind Power has appointed Bjarne Sandager Nielsen as new VP Global Operations & Sourcing. Bjarne will join the LM Wind Power management team during 2016, and by November at the latest. 
 
Bjarne Sandager Nielsen has a broad background in manufacturing and brings among other things, industry experience from various roles in Vestas, including Senior Vice President (SVP) Production Engineering, SVP Blades Europe, SVP Global Operations and most recently SVP, Head of Blades. From 2010-2014, he furthermore served as Vice Chairman of the Board at Sønderborg Værktøjsfabrik A/S.

I am confident he can help us to continue the positive development and growth we are seeing across the business and take the Global Operations set up to the level required to fully realize the company's ambitious growth plans," said CEO Marc de Jong.
 
On an interim basis until Bjarne Sandager Nielsen is fully onboard later this year, LM Wind Power's VP, Quality & HSE, Miguel Angel Balbuena Gomez, will assume the leadership of Global Operations in addition to his current responsibilities.
