Plug Power to Exhibit and Host Press Conference at MODEX 2016

Company Press Conference to Detail New “Infinite Drive” Branding and Debut Latest GenDrive fuel cell product

LATHAM, N.Y., April 04, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Plug Power Inc. (NASDAQ:PLUG), a leader in providing clean, reliable energy solutions, today announced it will exhibit and host a press conference at MODEX 2016, happening now through April 7, 2016 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

The company recently debuted its new “Infinite Drive” branding, which includes a new logo, color scheme, website and the rebranding of its GenSure stationary fuel cell products (formerly ReliOn); all to communicate its leadership, ingenuity and innovative spirit. The rebranding effort was initiated to better align Plug Power with its leadership status providing hydrogen and fuel cell solutions to the material handling industry. At the heart of everything Plug Power has accomplished is the “Infinite Drive” to revolutionize the future of the hydrogen fuel cell industry and build a company that will change the way the material handling industry moves.

The press conference will take place Tuesday, April 5 at 10:15 a.m. local time at the Plug Power booth #1023.  Plug Power CEO, Andy Marsh, will speak about the company’s new brand and its leadership in hydrogen solutions for the material handling industry. At the press conference, Andy will take questions from the audience.

Also at the press conference, Plug Power will debut a new class-3 pallet jack GenDrive 3340 fuel cell, which represents the fourth generation of the power-product and is built to even further increase performance of the fuel cell system. The intelligent fuel cell is able to share its operational health information with Plug Power so that the company can provide preventative and rapid-response onsite service to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency at customer sites.

Throughout the show, attendees will be able to see the new GenDrive 3340 fuel cell and they will be able to simulate a refueling from a GenFuel hydrogen dispenser.

"For years, Plug Power has fulfilled on its promise to customers that our hydrogen and fuel cell solutions will help them make one of their most crucial business operations more efficient, more reliable, more economical, and more sustainable," said Andy Marsh, CEO at Plug Power. "Our new brand shows our infinite drive towards sustainability and innovation within the material handling industry. We’re excited to showcase our story to press conference and booth attendees at MODEX.”

MODEX 2016 will provide attendees access to the latest manufacturing and supply chain equipment and technologies. Over 800 exhibitors from industry, commerce and government will display their supply chain solutions and innovations on the 250,000 square foot show floor.
