(Nasdaq:AETI), a leading provider of power delivery solutions for the global energy industry, announced today that its new IntelliSafe™ arc-resistant switchgear has been awarded the prestigious 2016 Product of the Year Award by Electrical Construction & Maintenance (EC&M) magazine.

EC&M selected M&I Electric’s new IntelliSafe™ Arc-Resistant Medium Voltage Switchgear as 2016 Product of the Year in the Power Distribution Equipment category. All product entries were judged by a panel of electrical experts including engineers, contractors and plant personnel selected by the EC&M editorial staff from a pool of the magazine’s readers.

The EC&M Product of the Year competition was established in 2000 to honor excellence in new product development in the electrical industry. The prestigious awards program showcases the most innovative products of the past year and recognizes the talent and commitment of the people involved in product development - from concept through commercialization. EC&M bestows these awards on inventive products that help electrical professionals do their jobs more efficiently and effectively.

All entries will be featured in a special printed tabloid showcase, which will be mailed with the April issue of EC&M and May issue of Electrical Wholesaling. Further, all category winners will be included in an EC&M subscriber website poll to determine the 2016 Overall Product of the Year Platinum, Gold and Silver winners.
