no 34/16 Nasdaq Commodities announces Fee Reductions for Dry Freight Futures and Options Contracts


Nasdaq Commodities is pleased to announce a new and competitive clearing offering for dry freight futures and options contracts with effect from May 3, 2016.

With the legacy and in-depth knowledge acquired from NOS Clearing, Nasdaq Commodities is strongly committed to the freight markets and would like to support participants by offering a more competitive fee structure.

The recent growth in Nasdaq Commodities’ cleared volumes and strong support from the freight community worldwide, contributes to this  continuous investment in the commodities markets.

New fees as reflected in chapter 3.1 and 3.2 of Appendix 7 – Fee List:

Dry Freight Contract Futures and Options
CS4TC,CS5TC*, PM4TC, SM6TC, HS6TC 4 $/lot
C3, C4, C5, C7 3 $/lot
P1A, P2A, P3A 3 $/lot

*The current fee holiday for CS5TC futures and options is extended until end of June 2016.

Delivery settlement fees will remain free of charge and the existing discount regime will be maintained:

  • Spread and Option strategies discount of  50% on all legs
  • Full Size discount of 50% for full Quarter-, Half-Year-  or Calendar contracts
  • Monthly Volume discount applies for dry futures with the following thresholds and discounts:
    • 1001-2000 lots                   20% discount
    • Above 2000 lots                40% discount
