The Supervisory Board of Bilfinger SE has appointed Mr. Thomas Blades as
new Chairman of the Executive Board. His current employer, Linde AG, today
approved the early cancellation of his existing employment relationship.
Bilfinger SE and Thomas Blades are coordinating the exact timing of the
takeover of the Executive Board Chairmanship with Linde AG. Bilfinger SE
expects that Thomas Blades will assume the position of Chairman of the
Executive Board by the third quarter of 2016 at the latest. He succeeds Per
H. Utnegaard, 56, who stepped down at the end of April 2016. In the interim
period, Axel Salzmann, Member of the Executive Board and CFO of Bilfinger
SE, has assumed the tasks of Chairman of the Executive Board in addition to
his other tasks. Thomas Blades, 59, is currently Member of the Executive
Board at Linde AG where he is responsible for the Segment Americas and
Global Governance Centres Deliver, Healthcare, Operations, Global Gases
Businesses Helium & Rare Gases.
