Construction contract in Estonia (construction of Juuliku road junction and road section at Tallinn roundabout)

On 4 May 2016, consortium consisting of AS Merko Ehitus Eesti, AS Merko Infra and Tallinna Teede AS – part of the AS Merko Ehitus group, and Estonian Road Administration entered into a contract to perform Juuliku road junction and road section construction works.

Under the contract, the E265/T-11 Tallinn roundabout from 24.9 to 29.6 km, i.e. from Kanama viaduct to Saku viaduct will be reconstructed to 1st class road (2+2 lanes). In addition a new 3.35 km  long section of Juuliku-Tabasalu connection road will be constructed together with Juuliku two-level interchange. After completition of the new two-level interchange, the Jälgimäe one-level unsafety interchange E265/T-11 28.29 km will be closed. During the construction, two viaducts and bridges will be built.

The value of the contract is approximately EUR 11 million, plus value added tax.  Construction works will start in spring 2016 and will be carried out in autumn 2017.
