IT – Nasdaq Nordic Primary Data Center Relocation – Changed routing for some subnets

This IT Notice includes instructions for mandatory activities for Extranet providers and Direct Connect customers with connectivity to Nasdaq Nordic and Nasdaq Baltic.

As previously communicated, Nasdaq Nordic and Nasdaq Baltic are in the process of relocating the primary LUNDA data center to the new VASBY data center in Upplands Väsby, north of Stockholm.

The list of new external IP Prefixes for the VASBY and the PORT data centers (for Extranet providers and customers with “Direct Connect” setup) is available on the Data Center Relocation web page.

In relation to the data center relocation, Nasdaq Nordic is changing routing for a limited number of subnets spanning the LUNDA, PORT and the new VASBY data center:

192.176.3.64 /27   Genium INET PRM Test
192.176.3.96 /27   Nordic Workstation, FDS, various systems
193.142.160.0 /28   NAT Block
193.180.230.0 /24   Broker Services

For the above subnets Nasdaq will act according to the following:
On Saturday the 14th of May at 10:00 CET, Nasdaq changes the origin for traffic back to customers for the above mentioned subnets.  I.e. traffic in direction from Nasdaq to customer will exit via VASBY instead of LUNDA.

All three sites – LUNDA, PORT and VASBY – will still be accepting traffic to the subnets in question after the 14th May, however you are advised to use VASBY as primary route from this date/time to avoid asymmetric routing. After end of June, LUNDA will be removed as a destination.

Customer prefixes learnt only via existing data centers will continue to work as today.

Only Extranet providers and Direct Connect customers will notice this change.

Please note that if you as a connectivity provider do not change the preferred site at this date/time for these four subnets, the asymmetric routing may generate disturbances in customer’s firewalls, preventing traffic back from Nasdaq to pass through their firewalls.
