The Housing Financing Fund and BK-eignir ehf. have reached an agreement for the latter to purchase 153 apartments from the Housing Financing Fund and was the agreement signed this evening. Total selling price is ISK 3.740.248.000.
On December 14th 2015 the Housing Financing Fund offered in an open and transparent manner 15 groups of apartments for sale. These apartments were situated in different parts of Iceland. In this instance 5 of these groups are sold. The total number of apartments in these 15 groups were 504 so in this sale about 30,4% of the apartments offered for sale are sold. Agreements for the sales of further groups of apartments which the Housing Financing Fund has a binding offer for, will be signed in the next weeks in accordance with the conditions of the sales.
The sale of these apartments will have a lasting favourable effect on the running of the Housing Financing Fund.
