James, whose practice is centered on construction, environmental, and real estate, joins an outstanding team whose members are located in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas. As lead counsel in over 40 jury trials, bench trials, and binding arbitrations, as well as over 700 mediations, James’ diverse experience has aided municipalities, developers, general contractors, sub-contractors, hotels, homeowners and national construction product manufacturers. His clients have received his support as lead counsel in products liability litigation in federal and state courts around the nation.
James brings unique, practical experience to his litigation practice, as he is one of few attorneys with hands-on experience in construction as a licensed California general contractor (B) and subcontractor (C-36 Plumbing). He has also served as a combat engineer, construction surveyor, and soils analyst in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. James’ distinctive skill set has brought great value to contractors and product manufacturers alike who have utilized his skills on cases involving anything from residential to hotels, and owners and construction professionals in cases involving design build, contamination, products liability, HVAC, and structural issues.
