The Board of Directors of The Housing Financing Fund decided in it´s meeting today, Monday May 23rd 2016 to accept the offer from Almenna Leigufélagið eignarhaldssjóður for the purchase of Klettur Property Management ehf. The Almenna Leigufélagið eignarhaldssjóður had the highest bid for Klettur Property Management ehf.
The Klettur Property Management ehf. was formerly advertised for sale on Feb. 25th 2016. On March 2nd 2016 an open meeting was held where anyone could attend and in that meeting The Klettur Property Management ehf. and the sales procedure were introduced. The sales procedure was in two steps. In the first step 8 nonbinding bids were received. In the second step where interested parties had to present a binding bid for the purchase of The Klettur Property Management ehf. three bids were received.
The accepted price for Klettur Property Management is ISK 10.101 million which is about ISK 1.541 million higher than the book value of the company in The Housing Financing Fund´s books and will therefore have a positive effect on its operations in the future. The contract concerning the sales of Klettur Property management is expected to be signed on May 27th 2016.
