Spartan Motors Names Juris Pagrabs as
Group Treasurer and Director of Investor Relations

CHARLOTTE, Michigan, May 31, 2016 – Spartan Motors, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAR) today announced that Juris Pagrabs has been named the Company’s Group Treasurer and Director of Investor Relations, effective May 23, 2016. Reporting directly to Rick Sohm, Spartan Motors’ Chief Financial Officer, Pagrabs will lead the Company’s global treasury and investor relations functions, and will be focused on building strong relationships with Spartan’s key financial audiences.

Pagrabs most recently served as Chief Financial Officer and the Director of Operations at Matilda Jane Clothing, a popular brand of uniquely styled children’s clothing, from 2013 to 2015. Prior to joining Matilda Jane, Pagrabs was Vice President of Investor Relations for Azure Dynamics Corporation, the Detroit, MI based manufacturer of hybrid electric, electric components and powertrain systems for commercial vehicles, from 2010 to 2012. Pagrabs also served as Corporate Vice President of Investor Relations at both Woolworth (now FootLocker) and OfficeMax. His career spans more than 30 years, during which he held several executive and leadership positions in finance, accounting and investor relations. Pagrabs began his career at Arthur Anderson & Co in 1982 and is a graduate of Kent State University with a degree in business administration.

Pagrabs succeeds Greg Salchow, who will be returning to Nashville, TN to spend more time with family and to pursue new opportunities.
