Manhattan Associates and Deloitte Help Blend Up Success for National DCP

ATLANTA, June 01, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ:MANH), in collaboration with Deloitte Consulting LLP, today announced the release of the Accelerator Framework, a jointly designed tool that can reduce the design and implementation time of Manhattan’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS) with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning. Already in use at National DCP, LLC (NDCP), the $2 billion supply chain management company serving the franchisees of Dunkin’ Donuts, the Accelerator Framework has enabled NDCP to reduce their project timeline by 30 percent.

In 2014, NDCP merged five regional companies and made the decision to standardize each business using one enterprise-wide supply chain solution (WMS and TMS). NDCP needed to implement a robust and flexible solution quickly because the existing systems were dated, inflexible and fragile. This initiative was a component of NDCP’s Project Freshstart, a comprehensive, digital transformation initiative that involved changing every system and process to increase customer service, drive supply chain efficiencies, lower costs and enhance productivity.

“Manhattan’s solutions are streamlining distribution processes while allowing our business to be more agile and enable growth objectives,” said Darrell Riekena, COO and CIO, NDCP. “Our team at NDCP needed a tool that would work seamlessly with our SAP ERP platform to create the consistent, high-quality service that our members expect.”

Manhattan and Deloitte’s Accelerator Framework is a template of Manhattan solutions process flows, which enabled NDCP to implement WMS and TMS solutions in 10 months, with additional NDCP distribution centers added to the technology rollout every six months. “Implementations have been smooth, without business interruptions,” said Riekena. “We were able to ship every order - throughout the entire process.”

National DCP was recently recognized for Project Freshstart, ranking No. 28 in the 2016 InformationWeek Elite 100, a list of the top business technology innovators in the U.S. NDCP also took finalist honors in the Collaboration and Innovation in Cloud Technology award categories.

“Together with Manhattan Associates, we have developed solutions that deliver value to our clients – whether that’s improving service levels or streamlining business processes – and we’re always focused on driving measureable benefits,” said Mona Maurelli, director, supply chain and manufacturing operations, Deloitte Consulting LLP. “The Accelerator Framework has decreased NDCP’s project timelines and improved customer service.”

“The Manhattan team works closely with partners and customers to address emerging supply chain opportunities through an evolving portfolio of industry-leading solutions and best practice frameworks,” said Bob Howell, senior vice president, Americas, Manhattan Associates. “We are proud to partner with NDCP and are dedicated to the success of its supply chain transformation.”
