Nidec Files Annual Report on Form 20-F for the Year Ended March 31, 2016


KYOTO, Japan, June 22, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nidec Corporation (OTC:NJDCY) (TSE:6594) (the “Company”) today announced that its annual report on Form 20-F for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2016 was filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on June 21, 2016. On April 21, 2016, the Company filed a Form 25 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) for the voluntary delisting of its American Depositary Shares from the NYSE and the related deregistration with the SEC. In addition, on May 2, 2016, the Company also filed a Form 15F with the SEC to terminate its reporting obligations under the U.S. Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (“Exchange Act”). 

While the Company is thus no longer subject to reporting obligations under the Exchange Act, it has been making periodic Exchange Act filings on a voluntary basis, including this annual report, which has become its last voluntary filing with the SEC. 

Even though the reporting obligations were terminated, the Company will continue to disclose financial statements and other information, in English, on its website to ensure that its overseas shareholders and investors will continue to have access to appropriate information about the Company.
