FunPlus Announces First Global Art Contest in Partnership With XII Braves' Mobile RPG Valiant Force

Over $7,000 in Cash Prizes and the Opportunity to Showcase Artwork in Valiant Force up for Grabs


SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 23, 2016) - FunPlus, the global mobile game publisher and worldwide leader in social games, announced submissions are open for its first global art contest. The contest will be held in conjunction with Singapore studio XII Braves' flagship mobile RPG title, Valiant Force.

The 2016 Hero Design Contest encourages participants to use their creativity and talent to design, illustrate and color a new hero fit to fight alongside the current heroes of Valiant Force. Artists will be expected to create heroes clad in magnificent armor, wielding potentially legendary weapons and facing off against formidable enemies. Submissions must be made by July 31, 2016.

The judging panel includes three notable industry veterans: Glenn Kim, Greg Killion and Anton Gustilo. Glenn Kim, art lead at FunPlus, has worked on Pixar films such as The Incredibles, Cars, Cars 2, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo and WALL-E. Greg Killion, an art director at FunPlus, has been responsible for art direction and brand development with Supercell on the wildly successful Clash of Clans, Hay Day and Boom Beach. Anton Gustilo is the art director of XII Braves, having previously worked as lead artist at gumi Asia and Nubee. With nine years of experience in the mobile games industry, he has shipped mobile game titles such as Brave Frontier, Harry Potter: Spells, Puzzle Trooper, Slots Reel Frontier and Monster Blade.
