Divestment of Suomivalimo completed

Componenta Corporation Stock Exchange Release 30 June 2016 at 16.00


Componenta Corporation announced on 22 April 2016 that the company has signed a Letter of Intent regarding a divestment of Suomivalimo, located in Iisalmi with Antti Lehtonen, Olli Karhunen and the management on behalf of new company to be established. The Letter of Intent covers Suomivalimo’s foundry business.

The transaction has been completed on 30 June 2016.

Suomivalimo casts large components especially for the Nordic machine building industry. Sizes of the components vary from 250 kg to 8 tons. The annual production capacity is 12,000 tons. The foundry employs 90 people and they will continue as existing employees of Suomivalimo.

Suomivalimo divestment supports Componenta’s strategy to concentrate on green sand technology in foundry business. The divestment will not have a material impact on Componenta Group’s result or financial position.
