Trading Statistics June 2016


Stockholm, July 1, 2016Nasdaq (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today publishes monthly trade statistics for the Nordic1 and Baltic2 markets. Below follows a summary of the statistics for June 2016:

  • The share trading increased by 7.1% to a daily average of 3.125bn EUR, compared to 2.917bn EUR in June 2015. Compared to the previous month, May 2016, the daily average increased by 14.6 %.
  • Derivatives trading increased by 55.9% to a daily average of 705,968 contracts, compared with 452,730 contracts in June 2015.
  • ETF trading3 (Exchange Traded Funds) increased by 1.5% to a daily average of 51.4m EUR compared to 50.7m EUR in June 2015.
  • Novo Nordisk A/S was the most traded stock during the past month, followed by Nokia Oyj.
  • Deutsche Bank was the most active member during the past month, followed by Morgan Stanley.
  • Nasdaq Nordic’s share of order-book trading in our listed stocks increased to 64.7%, compared to 63.9% previous month4.
  • The average order book depth on the best price level was larger at Nasdaq Nordic  than the second most liquid trading venue, see detailed figures per exchange:
  • For OMXC20 companies 2.7 larger
  • For OMXH25 companies 2.5 larger
  • For OMXS30 companies 2.1 larger
  • Nasdaq Nordic’s average time at EBBO5 (European Best Bid and Offer) was:
  • For OMXC20 companies 91.0%
  • For OMXH25 companies 90.7%
  • For OMXS30 companies 92.6%
