First GREEN Bank Launches Attorney Banking Department to Serve Florida's Booming Legal Industry

Led by Two Licensed Attorneys and Bankers, Community Bank's New Department Offers Specialized Services That Cater to Florida's More Than 90,000 Licensed Attorneys

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - Jul 7, 2016) - First GREEN Bank, a local bank with a global mission, today announces the establishment of its Attorney Banking Department. Designed to serve the needs of attorneys and law firms across the state of Florida, the bank's new department offers specialized services including loans and interest on trust accounts (IOTA) required by the Florida Bar. By focusing on understanding and supporting the unique financial needs of law firms and attorneys, First GREEN Bank furthers its commitment to providing personalized services for its customers as well as solutions for furthering the growth of Florida's thriving legal community.

First GREEN Bank's Attorney Banking Department offers traditional and specialty accounts to more than 90,000 licensed attorneys throughout the state of Florida. The department is led by two licensed Florida attorneys, First GREEN Bank's founder, Ken LaRoe, and the bank's Director of Attorney Banking Services, Scott Leitner.

"With a number of local attorneys already relying on First GREEN Bank for their financial needs, we thought it was important to create a separate department and staff designated to providing specialized services to Florida's legal community," said Scott Leitner, Director of Attorney Banking Services at First GREEN Bank. "Calling on our knowledge and experience as both attorneys and bankers, Ken and I are able to interact with attorneys on their level to discuss their business, ongoing cases, and any financial challenges that we may be able to resolve."

Available attorney banking services include traditional business accounts, operating accounts and interest on trust accounts (IOTA), as well as advanced cost lines of credit and other types of commercial loans. Any Florida-based firm or licensed attorney is eligible to apply for these services, and the offerings will be available at all First GREEN Bank branch locations.

"First GREEN Bank is providing these products and services because we feel that a market as specialized as the legal profession requires a bank that understands the needs of a law firm -- and a banker who understands the intricacies and regulations of legal practice in Florida," said Ken LaRoe, Founder of First GREEN Bank. "We recognize how important and vital Florida's attorneys are, and want to ensure they have the financial tools they need to best serve our community."
