The alternative performance measures used in Neo Industrial’s financial reporting will be presented in accordance with the new guidelines set by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).
ESMA guidelines came into force on 03.07.2016. The guidelines will not change the performance measures or their designation used by Neo Industrial. However, the calculation formulas of the alternative performance indicators used in financial reporting will from now on be described as part of the report.
In interim financial statements and business reviews Neo Industrial will use operating profit as the only alternative performance measure. In the financial statements Neo Industrial will use alternative indicators more widely. According to Neo Industrial's interpretation of the ESMA guidelines, in addition to the operating profit, return on equity (ROE), return on investment (ROI), gross investments, gearing and the equity ratio can all be counted as alternative performance measures.
The calculation principles of all alternative performance measures are presented in the financial statements for the year 2015, as well as in the previous financial statements. Therefore, the ESMA guidelines do not change either these indicators or their names used by Neo Industrial.
