Canadian Plastics Industry Association Announces 2016/17 Board of Directors


TORONTO, July 19, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA), the national voice for plastics in Canada since 1943, is pleased to announce its new Board following the Annual General Meeting to elect Directors and Officers on June 16, 2016.

Terry Elliott, President of Scepter Canada Inc., remains as Chair of the Board of Directors for 2016/17. Sarah Marshall, Leader of Technical Services for NOVA Chemicals, was returned as Vice Chair of the Board, and Mark Lichtblau, Vice President of Inteplast Bags and Films Corporation, Haremar Plastic Manufacturing Division, was returned as Treasurer.

In addition, CPIA is pleased to announce the addition of four new Directors including Hugues Rouleau, IPL Inc.; Kevin McTavish, Drader Manufacturing; Leo Mayette, Cascades Flexible Packaging; and Tony Moucachen, Merlin Plastics/Van Waste Co.

"We are very pleased to welcome Hugues, Kevin, Leo, and Tony to our Board of Directors," said Terry Elliott, CPIA Chair of the Board. "Their experience and proven business leadership will definitely serve CPIA well." Terry also expressed thanks to outgoing Board member Francois Cote of Cascades for his dedicated service to CPIA.
