Amber Levy Joins AJLI as Director of Membership, a Key Role in the Association's Organizational Transformation

Implementation of New Membership Model Rollout Aims at Enhancing Member-Centric Experience at 291 Junior Leagues in Four Countries

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Aug 4, 2016) - The Association of Junior Leagues International today announced that Amber Levy has joined AJLI as Director of Membership, a new position. In that role, she will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Association's Membership Model Rollout as part of a multi-year, multi-disciplinary strategy for The Junior League of the future.

Ms. Levy is a seasoned association executive with deep experience in membership engagement. She comes to AJLI from RIMS, the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc., where she was the Director of Membership and Constituent Programs. Earlier, she held marketing and sales positions with two major membership organizations, the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board and the San Diego Tourism Authority, as well as the Hyland Group, a firm specializing in premier meeting and convention properties.

Susan Danish, AJLI's Executive Director, said, "Amber's experience working for membership organizations over the last 15 years will be an important resource as we implement our new Membership Model. Junior League members are busy women with active lives that include careers, families and volunteer commitments, so membership engagement is a critical element of our recruitment and retention as well as the ongoing strength and vitality of The Junior League brand."

Ms. Levy said, "As the Association representing 291 independent Junior Leagues, AJLI has a unique position among women's volunteer organizations. I look forward to working with the AJLI leadership team to develop and launch member-centric programs that re-engage members, pique the interests of next-generation members, and position the organization for robust growth in the future."

A graduate of Florida State University, Ms. Levy has served as President of the Professional Convention Management Association, New York Chapter, and is a member of ASAE, the American Society of Association Executives.
