Good Earth Commemorates 25 Years With Limited Edition Signature Coffee

Good Earth Coffeehouse Celebrates Milestone Anniversary With New Feature Coffee

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Aug. 10, 2016) - Good Earth Coffeehouse (Good Earth) has launched its limited edition Anniversary Feature Coffee. Celebrating 25 years as one of Canada's favourite coffeehouses, the new coffee pays homage to its loyal customers and those who have supported the company for more than two decades. The new light roast offering is harvested in the Boa Vista region of Brazil, providing a full-bodied flavour profile and exceptional quality that Good Earth's customers have come to love and expect.

Embodying the environmental and social values that are core to Good Earth, the 25th Anniversary Feature Coffee is a Direct Trade product of the Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza (FAF), a small, family run coffee farm. The FAF farmers work in one of the best regions for growing high-quality coffee in Brazil - at the top of the Mogiana Region Mountains. Good Earth continues to uphold its commitment to the environment, ensuring that any coffee it sources not only provides a unique tasting experience, but also uses sustainable and ethical farming practices.

"As we embarked on our 25th Anniversary, we knew we wanted to provide an exceptional feature coffee to our Good Earth customers," said Nan Eskenazi, Founder, Good Earth Coffeehouse. "By using a Direct Trade coffee, we are able to source a product that is in alignment with our core environmental values, and also provided an enjoyable drinking experience that will satisfy the taste buds of all coffee-lovers."

The 25th Anniversary Feature Coffee is so much more than just an additional menu offering. Good Earth's work with the FAF ensures positive environmental and economic impacts for smaller coffee farmers. Not only are there financial benefits, whereby coffee farmers are able to directly invest profits into their local community, but the farmers are also able to take steps to preserve and protect a healthy environment. Specifically, the FAF works to banish toxic materials from its work practices to create a safe environment for migrating birds.

Working in the Boa Vista Valley region, farmers work in smaller lots of coffee that result in particularly interesting coffee flavours. The new full-bodied roast showcases the uniqueness of the region with flavour profiles capturing hints of sweet caramel, toasted walnuts, crisp pineapple and rich coconut, and is sure to please almost any palette with its rich taste.

The feature coffee will launch on Good Earth's official anniversary date - August 13, 2016. The 25th Anniversary Feature Coffee will be available to enjoy fresh in stores, or to take home in retail bags at all coffeehouse locations, for a limited time.
