Whitehead Chiropractic Partners with Project Search and Rescue in Community Initiative

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 21, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Christina of Project Search and Rescue looks to involve the community in a cause that will serve people in need, reports Whitehead Chiropractic. Project Search and Rescue wants to reduce violence and help the underserved. Whitehead Chiropractic is partnering with Project Search and Rescue by offering a special promotion that runs through the end of August. Dr. Wendee Whitehead is offering a consultation, exam and two X-rays for a minimum donation of $40.00. All proceeds from first visits will go directly to help funding Christina’s project.

Christina, the Leader of Project Search and Rescue, is fundraising from the community to allow a first responder team to have a vehicle to go into inner city communities. The first responder team will teach, train and bring in services that directly address the needs of residents within each individual inner city community. In their efforts, Christina and the team will adopt apartment complexes to protect and clean up the community. The Project Search and Rescue team will offer classes in self-esteem, caring for self and family, resume writing, sewing and repair, proper nutrition, disaster preparedness and healthy lifestyles.

“Inner city residents can have a difficult time receiving necessary services that can improve their health and wellbeing,” said Dr. Wendee Whitehead. “We want to do our part to help Christina and her Project Search and Rescue team. Donations provided from our patients for consultations, exams and X-rays will go directly to the fundraising efforts of Project Search and Rescue. Our patients care about their community and appreciate that their donation will go directly to helping a great cause.”
