RAUTE RECEIVED ORDERS WORTH ALMOST EUR 32 MILLION TO RUSSIA
Raute Corporation has received orders worth almost EUR 32 million for the expansion of Vyatskiy Fanernyi Kombinat 's mill in the Kirov region in Russia. The order was closed with an Italian company Carmac Group srl which is the EPC contractor in this project. Vyatskiy Fanernyi Kombinat has a birch plywood mill in the Kirov region for which the entire production process was delivered by Raute in 2006.
The present order received by Raute includes the entire production process of a birch plywood mill: log handling, two veneer peeling lines, two veneer drying lines, two veneer composing lines, automatic veneer patching line, two plywood lay-up and pressing lines, plywood edge cutting, puttying and overlaying lines. The order also includes an automatic veneer patching line and an overlaying line to Vyatskiy's present mill. The deliveries of the machinery and equipment for the new mill are scheduled for the second quarter of 2017 to be followed by the machinery deliveries to the present mill. The equipment will be engineered and produced in Raute's units in Nastola, Shanghai and Kajaani.
The cooperation between Vyatskiy Fanernyi Kombinat and Raute has continued for a decade since setting up the company's first mill. The present order results from the growth strategy initiated by the new owner. Raute's strong expertise in the entire production process of plywood production can be seen in the scope of the delivery. Lessons learnt from the previous deliveries and Raute's presence in the Russian market also had an influence when selecting the supplier.
The present new order has no impact on Raute's outlook for 2016. Raute's net sales and operating profit will be on the same level as in 2015.
