Compuware Recognized as a “Cool” and “Great” Place to Work

Two Lists Recognize Companies in Michigan and Across the Country that Embody Strong Cultures, Motivated Employees and Good Management

DETROIT, Aug. 30, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Compuware Corporation, the world’s leading mainframe-dedicated software company, today announced it has been selected as a 2016 Cool Place to Work in Michigan by Crain’s Detroit Business.

Cool Places to Work is a biennial award given to companies based on the combined results of two questionnaires. Employers provide information about benefits, policies, practices and perks, while employees provide confidential responses to a 72-question survey. The results identify the strengths and weaknesses of a company’s culture and practices.

“Once again, Compuware employees have proven their commitment to making our company an exciting and inspiring place to work,” said Compuware CEO Chris O’Malley. “Our transformed culture can be seen in the quality of our work as this award reflects the continuous innovation we are delivering to our customers.”

“What makes Compuware a ‘cool’ place to work goes beyond perks, investing in new hires and making employees feel appreciated and valued. Those things are table stakes,” said Krysten Erickson, a software developer who recently joined Compuware. “What I feel sets Compuware apart is the company’s steadfast commitment to protecting and advancing the mainframe. We take that responsibility very seriously. It’s one of the things that drives our passion to create the best software in the industry.”

Compuware Corporation was also certified as a great workplace by Great Place to Work®. The credential is based on extensive ratings provided by its employees in anonymous surveys. A summary of these ratings can be found here. Compuware Corporation employees completed 198 surveys, resulting in a 90 percent confidence level and a margin of error of ± 3.71 percent.

"We applaud Compuware Corporation for seeking certification and releasing its employees' feedback," said Kim Peters, Vice President of Great Place to Work's Recognition Program. "These ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees' trust and create a great workplace—critical metrics that anyone considering working for or doing business with Compuware Corporation should take into account as an indicator of high performance."
