ALMA MEDIA IMPROVES ITS OUTLOOK FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2016

Alma Media is revising its guidance and outlook for 2016. In 2016, the company
expects its full-year revenue and adjusted operating profit to increase clearly
from the 2015 level.

In its previous guidance issued on 12 February 2016 and re-issued on 22 July and
29 April, Alma Media expected its full-year revenue and adjusted operating
profit to increase from the 2015 level.

Clear growth in adjusted operating profit is the result of the favourable profit
performance of the Alma Markets and Alma News & Life segments during 2016. Alma
Markets’ international recruitment service business and domestic marketplace
business have continued to develop favourably, and there has been no appreciable
slowdown in the growth of the national economies of Eastern Central European
countries. Online advertising in the Alma News & Life segment has increased
considerably in 2016, which has clearly improved the result of the business
unit.

According to Alma Media’s estimate, during the rest of the year the advertising
market will continue to develop in the same way as earlier this year.

New outlook for 2016 / 14 September 2016

The Finnish economy is expected to show zero growth or only slight growth in
2016. Alma Media’s significant operating countries in Eastern Central Europe,
such as the Czech Republic and Slovakia, are expected to see continued economic
growth, but at a lower rate than in 2015.

Macroeconomic development affects both consumer demand and advertising volume.
The structural transformation of advertising will continue in 2016; online
advertising will grow, while print media advertising will decline.

The Talentum acquisition completed in late 2015 will increase Alma Media’s
revenue and operating profit in 2016.

In 2016, Alma Media expects its full-year revenue and adjusted operating profit
to increase clearly from the 2015 level. The full-year revenue for 2015 was MEUR
291.5, and the adjusted operating profit was MEUR 23.4.
