Johan Friman appointed Senior Vice President for Kesko's car trade division and member of the Group Management Board

Master of Science (Economics) Johan Friman, 51, has been appointed Senior Vice President responsible for Kesko's car trade and President of VV-Auto Group Oy. He will also become a member of Kesko's Group Management Board.

Johan Friman has a long career in the automotive sector. Since 2006, he has been the Managing Director of LeasePlan Germany, the world's largest car fleet management and financing company. For nearly 10 years before that, he served as the Managing Director of LeasePlan Finland. Before joining LeasePlan, Johan Friman held executive positions at, for example, Inchcape Motors Finland Oy and Bilia Oy Ab.

Johan Friman will take over his new position on 1 January 2017. Pekka Lahti, the current Senior Vice President for Kesko's car trade division, will retire on a pension in accordance with his service contract on 1 April 2017.
