The PCAM designation is the highest professional recognition available nationwide to managers who specialize in community association management. To earn the PCAM designation, a community manager must have five years of direct community management experience, maintain their Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation and pass all six of CAI's M-200 level professional management development programs, which cover community communications, leadership and governance as well as financial and facilities management.
