WNC Leaders Present Nine Members of Congress with Defender of Housing Award

Will Cooper Sr. and Will Cooper Jr. presented the award on behalf of the NAHB’s BUILD-PAC


IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 17, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WNC, a national investor in real estate and community development initiatives, announced today that WNC Chairman Will Cooper Sr. and Chief Executive Officer Will Cooper Jr. presented nine members of Congress from both the Republican and Democratic parties with the Defender of Housing award on behalf of the National Association of Home Builders’ BUILD-PAC.

The award, presented to long-term champions of the U.S. housing industry, was presented to: Representatives Ken Calvert (R-CA); Paul Cook (R-CA); Duncan Hunter (R-CA); Darrell Issa (R-CA); Ed Royce (R-CA), chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and senior member of the Financial Services Committee; Linda Sanchez (D-CA); Norma Torres (D-CA); Maxine Waters (D-CA), ranking member of the Financial Services Committee; and Mimi Walters (R-CA).
