CybAero comments on the Supreme Court ruling

On the 21-10-2016, the Supreme Court announced its verdict regarding photography
from drones, in a process driven by the Data Inspection Board, The Court ruled
that an unmanned vehicle with a camera can be equated to a surveillance camera,
which requires special permission for use.
The court referred the case to the Administrative Court for consideration of the
conditions under which permission for surveillance would be granted. By law,
authorization for video surveillance must only be given if the benefit of such
monitoring outweighs the individual's interest in not being under surveillance.

- We have to see what the administrative court decides on the issue of
permissions. The actual decision will not affect our business or sales of the
APID One systems in the short term, says CEO Rolf Schytt in a statement. In
Sweden, we market our products to companies, the emergency services and to the
defense sector, who are not affected by the decision. Currently, the majority of
our existing and potential customers are overseas, where regulations differ from
Sweden.

Our new Service business is not affected by this judgment either, as in this
area, we also work internationally. And for the orders we have in Sweden, they
contain payloads other than cameras.

It is a shame that the benefits to the public will suffer, and that this
judgment inhibits a growing industry. We assume that new rules that are tailored
for the industry and for the purpose of using cameras on unmanned systems are
developed as a matter of urgency.

- We do not see that this directly affects either the sale of the APID One or of
our services, however, we do see the need for modernization of Swedish
legislation, so that it is in step with technological development, continued
Rolf Schytt.
