M.Sc. (Econ) Maija Strandberg appointed EVP Finance at Uponor

Uponor Corporation’s Board of Directors has appointed M.Sc. (Econ) Maija Strandberg (47) Executive Vice President, Finance at Uponor Corporation. She will also be member of the Executive Committee, reporting to President and CEO Jyri Luomakoski. She joins Uponor on 6 March 2017.

Strandberg will succeed the current CFO, Ms. Riitta Palomäki who retires at the end of May 2016 after having served the company for seven years. Palomäki will act as CFO until the end of the Annual General Meeting in March 2017, at which point Strandberg will take over in that role.

Strandberg has a versatile financial and general management experience in the pulp, paper, energy and machinery industries in Europe and the U.S., most recently in the role of Vice President, Finance at Valmet Pulp and Energy business line.

Maija Strandberg does not own any Uponor shares.
