The ceremony took place November 18 at The Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Rising Star Awards are presented to newer committee members who have proven to be an asset the chapter through their volunteerism, have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, and have shown an interest in being future leaders.

Marcou has been with Associa since 2008 after working in customer service for more than 15 years. Marcou obtained her Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designations from CAI where she serves the local chapter as the co-chair of the homeowner forum committee.
